A blackbody is an abstract concept from Physics, a body that absorbs all incident electromagnetic radiation regardless of frequency and reflects nothing at all. Despite of its name, the idealized blackbody can produce electromagnetic radiation at any frequency and have some color. The radiation specter of such a body depends only on its temperature. The protagonist of the video art contacts a substance and transfigures. Are these changes dangerous or not? We can’t say, because it is just the protasis of the story which invites viewers to ponder over it.
